Cascadia College’s On-Campus Food Resource and Education Center
Starting in Fall of 2018, the Kodiak Cave was created to assist students experiencing the difficulties associated with food insecurity. Since then, the Kodiak Cave has continued to expand and grow by providing educational and fun opportunities for students to learn how to cook and shop in ways that provide the best nutrition and save the most money! We love our students and strive to provide them with resources that are most useful to them!

Services
What We Do
One of our main goals is to continue to assist students experiencing food insecurity. As an enrolled Cascadia College student, you will be able to go shopping in the Kodiak Cave up to 4 times a quarter! We try to cater to dietary restrictions and have many options including meat, dairy, frozen fruits and vegetables, and dry goods.
We are also a resource center that can help direct you to the right people in case you are in need of other assistance. There are many grant opportunities, scholarships, and programs out there meant to help you through your journey at Cascadia College.
We create a variety of content including food videos, infographics, and other opportunities to learn about food and cooking. Being in college is hard and learning to be a self-sustaining adult is even harder so we are trying to make the process easier while making it more fun along the way.
